Studio Akarii · Proposal for Evlogia

Building a Brand for Life

Evlogia begins with olive oil. What it could grow into is a great deal larger.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to explore what Evlogia could become.

What you have already built is unusual, and we would like to help shape what comes next, carefully and with some ambition.

Evlogia already has its foundations in the olive tree, the Mediterranean and generations of knowledge. From there it can grow into a global brand built on discovery: things worth having, the people who make them and the places they come from.

Underneath it is a belief that what we bring into our lives should be chosen with more care than it usually is. Evlogia builds a world around that.

That means a small selection instead of endless choice, and provenance, quality and permanence ahead of trends. Every product introduces a maker, a place, an ingredient or a tradition worth knowing about.

The Story

The story comes first.

People follow luxury houses for the world built around what they sell. Once Evlogia's story is settled, the decisions after it get easier: the platform, the messaging, what goes into the collection, how each market is entered.

Buyers everywhere are moving towards products with provenance and integrity, and a real connection to where they come from.

They want to know the grower, the maker, the place, the process and the story behind what they bring into their homes.

The same behaviour shows up in food, health, hospitality and travel, and the walls between those categories are coming down. That gives Evlogia room to work across all of them.

Olive oil is a good place to start. It is ancient, understood everywhere, and tied to health, food, agriculture and Mediterranean life. Most of the category is still sold either as a kitchen commodity or as a premium bottle whose case rests on packaging and provenance.

Pouring olive oil

The founders do the looking and the judging for the brand. They travel, meet growers, producers and craftspeople, and bring a tightly edited set of finds back to a global audience.

Every new producer adds to the story, and every product has to earn its place in the collection.

01

The Table

Exceptional oils · Vinegars · Preserves · Condiments · Honey

02

The Everyday

Olive leaf tea · Botanical infusions · Yoghurt · Daily staples with real health in them

03

The World

Makers · Estates · Landscapes · Recipes · Travel · Culture · Stories

04

The Wellness

Olive oil shots · Lemon · Vinegar tonics · The daily dose, taken neat — food strong enough to work as a supplement. A direction to be explored further.

The aim is a point of view that people recognise and trust, rather than another marketplace.

Guiding principle: exceptional quality, designed for wellbeing
Studio Akarii will champion a clear position around the connection between exceptional quality and health and wellness. The brand should be consistently associated with products, experiences and choices that elevate wellbeing without compromising on design, performance or quality.

Health and wellness should therefore operate as an alignment and guiding principle across the brand, not as a secondary benefit or isolated campaign territory. The role of Studio Akarii is to demonstrate that when something is exceptionally well considered, it can also contribute meaningfully to how people feel, live and perform.
Provenance
The origin comes first: the grower, the place, the craft and the knowledge that make a product worth choosing.
Discovery
The brand keeps looking for things worth knowing about, so there is a reason to come back when nobody is buying.
Curation
A smaller collection means more. What gets chosen says as much as what gets sold.
Living
Products are tied to how people actually live: cooking, gathering, bathing, caring for themselves, giving gifts.
Enduring Quality
The collection holds things that deserve to stay in use, and quality decides how big it gets.

Worth listening to

Around the collection.

A new estate, a chef collaboration, a piece of credible research, a seasonal table, an unexpected find: each one opens another side of the brand. Evlogia should not need to talk more. It should have more worth listening to.

The search itself becomes part of the brand. That human layer is the part conventional retailers and marketplaces struggle to copy.

The ambition
We want Evlogia known worldwide as the authority on what the olive tree and Mediterranean life produce. It starts with olive oil and expands across Mediterranean food, chosen for what it does for health and for ingredients that cannot be improved on.

The Collection

Products

Where the collection stands today and where it goes next: one founding product with real authority, and a considered route to ten or fifteen SKUs.

Gold
London Olive Oil Awards 2025. Koroneiki monovarietal from Rethymno.
<2 hrs
Tree to mill. The oil is pressed before oxidation starts.
Own estate
Rethymno, Crete. Certified organic, from grove to bottle.
Zero
Chemicals, additives, or interventions anywhere in the process.

The olive oil is already the strongest argument you have. An award-winning oil from your own estate proves the standard the rest of the brand rests on, and it is the first thing any visitor sees.

Evlogia bottles from above
Estate No. 01
Olive Oil
Rethymno, Crete
Two hours from tree to mill. The speed is what protects the oil.
Estate No. 02
Yoghurt
Crete
Twenty-five days rather than the usual sixty. With no chemicals in it, it lasts as long as a yoghurt should.
Producer No. 03
Honey
Origin TBC
The best of its kind, found the same way as everything else in the collection.
Producer No. 04
Butter
France
The best butter in France, made for Evlogia by one farm using one method.
Producer No. 05
Vinegar
Mediterranean
Aged properly rather than manufactured quickly.

Each product is the best in its category from its Mediterranean country of origin, sold under Evlogia or as "Made for Evlogia." The collection grows to ten to fifteen SKUs.

Evlogia product range

The Value of Curation

The ambition is to choose well.

With 10 to 15 products, each one has to earn its place. Evlogia’s reputation then rests on the quality of its judgement rather than the size of its catalogue.

A small catalogue means every product can carry a full story and every label gets real attention. The platform can treat each product as a room instead of a row in a grid.

It also decides the e-commerce setup, which is built for depth on each product rather than volume.

Food and Wellness

Messaging

Two registers carry every product in the collection, and both are true at once: the language of the kitchen and the language of wellbeing.

The thread through both

Exceptional quality, designed for wellbeing.

The connection between exceptional quality and health is what lets one brand speak in two registers without contradicting itself. Everything Evlogia chooses should improve how people eat and live, and the messaging works from that.

Food

How luxury chefs talk.

  • Provenance told in specifics: the grove, the farm, the hours
  • Technique and restraint over adjectives
  • The ingredient that earns its place on the pass
  • A register that works for the whole collection, not the oil alone

Wellness

Ritual and purity.

  • Zero chemicals as a way of living
  • The morning pour, the daily practice
  • Good enough to drink, which is the quality signal
  • Food that behaves the way nature intended

The same brand can speak both. A chef in Lyon and a customer in Seoul hear different registers and both hear something true.

What gets written for the chefs is built to travel across the collection, so every new product inherits a voice that already works.

Olive oil poured over bread
Rituals
The behaviours the brand teaches: how the oil is tasted, how the yoghurt is served, how a product is given as a gift. A ritual gives customers something to do with the brand, and it carries across markets without much translation.
Look and feel
Material, texture and restraint. Glass weight, label substrate, the paper that arrives with a gift order. Everyone in the category claims premium, so the physical experience is where the difference actually registers.
Tone of voice
Specific before poetic. The two-hour window, the twenty-five days, the single farm. For a luxury food brand, facts stated plainly do more work than mythology.

Ritual

Ritual turns a product into a habit.

Teach how the oil is tasted, how the yoghurt is served and how a gift is given, and the brand becomes part of the day. People return to a ritual, and it crosses cultures without needing translation.

A note on scope
What is on this page is the messaging territory the platform and the content will work within, rather than a formal positioning exercise. See the Scope tab for what sits outside this quote.

From Product Story to Trusted Authority

PR Arm

Evlogia has something genuinely valuable to talk about: the culture, provenance and knowledge surrounding olive oil. The PR Arm turns that knowledge into a reason for people to listen to the brand beyond the product itself.

The emphasis shifts away from producing content and toward informing, educating and earning authority.

The message

Know what you consume.

Evlogia helps people understand olive oil properly: where it comes from, how it is produced, how quality differs, what to look for, how to use it and what credible research says about its role within a healthy diet. The tone is knowledgeable without becoming clinical. The brand informs; qualified experts substantiate.

01

Health & Wellbeing

Credible experts join the conversation around olive oil, nutrition and wellbeing. Dietitians, nutrition researchers, chefs, growers and relevant medical and scientific voices become sources of knowledge rather than conventional endorsers. Health benefits become powerful here, evidence-led and carefully claimed across different regulatory markets.

02

Provenance & Knowledge

Why does one olive oil cost £8 and another £80? What does extra virgin actually mean? Does harvest timing matter? Variety, acidity, storage, geography? Evlogia becomes a brand people turn to because it teaches them how to recognise quality, and the more someone understands the category, the more clearly they see why exceptional products command a premium.

03

People & Culture

The growers, estates, chefs, scientists, makers and places behind what we consume. A constant human source of stories without manufacturing content. The brand becomes a connector to knowledge and people worth knowing.

Olive grove

What the PR arm actually does

Research → Expert voices → Knowledge → Stories → Press → Partnerships → Authority

Expert interviews, health and nutrition features, founder commentary, estate visits, chef collaborations, research-led stories, cultural partnerships, tastings, press moments and carefully selected events. PR is not sitting downstream waiting for a product launch. It is building the intellectual and cultural territory Evlogia can own.

The more people understand, the more value they can see. If Evlogia wants to occupy a premium position, aesthetics alone will not justify it. Knowledge establishes why the provenance matters, why production matters, why selection matters, and ultimately why Evlogia's judgement is worth paying for.

The website carries this authority. Below are concepts, each a different way into the Evlogia story: informative and knowledgeable, somewhere to learn what these ingredients do for the body as much as where they come from.

Concept 01 · The Pantry

Organised the way a good kitchen is.

The collection is arranged by how people actually use it: what goes on the table, what stays in the pantry, what is taken daily.

No metaphor to decode. The structure earns trust because it mirrors real life, and each shelf explains the health case for what sits on it: the polyphenols, the absence of chemistry, the reason it belongs in a daily routine.

Concept 02 · The Journey

The story travels and you travel with it.

Built around the founders' search: a map of discoveries, each product introduced from the place it was found.

The site reads like an expedition journal that also sells what it finds. Every new product is a new destination, which gives people a reason to come back.

Concept 03 · The Table

Built from the perspective of the chefs and kitchens that use Evlogia.

The editorial voice comes from the people who know the product best, which is where the authority comes from.

Product pages go further into the ingredient: where it comes from, what it contains and what it does for the body, written with the rigour of a reference work. A separate trade experience gives chefs, restaurants and buyers the same care as the consumer.

Fresh olive oil pouring

The close

Inform first. Authority follows.

We do not want Evlogia to make more content. We want it to become more knowledgeable, more useful and more credible, so when it does speak, there is a reason to listen.

Commercial Infrastructure

The Platform

This is the part of the proposal we would treat as more than a website. It is the technical and commercial infrastructure of the brand, built so that Evlogia can trade internationally, operate the platform itself and add markets over time without rebuilding what it already owns.

01

Strategy, UX and bespoke design

The work opens with a technical discovery and specification, followed by the sitemap and information architecture, the consumer journeys, product discovery and the editorial routes that lead into commerce. From there we design a full responsive design system covering the homepage, collections, product pages, editorial and journal, estates and makers, the story pages, trade, account, cart and checkout. Every priority market is accounted for in the specification before anything is built.

02

The commerce build

Custom Shopify development, chosen because it gives a catalogue of this size the international commerce tools it needs without the cost of a bespoke platform. This covers the launch catalogue architecture, collection and product templates, editorial product pages, cart and checkout configuration, multi currency, market specific pricing and an architecture ready for gifting and bundling. Technical SEO, metadata, structured content and redirects are built in rather than added later, and the build closes with responsive, browser, device and checkout testing, performance optimisation, deployment and launch monitoring.

03

International architecture

Configuration for the agreed launch territories, including shipping zones and rules, local payment methods where they are supported, and tax configuration. The platform is also prepared for duties and delivered duty paid arrangements, for third party logistics and for localised search as new markets open, so each territory added after launch is a configuration rather than a rebuild.

04

The editorial system Evlogia operates

A reusable modular content system for products, estates, makers, journals, recipes, collaborations and editorial stories, designed so the team can publish the brand world internally without returning to us for every change. Alongside it we integrate the customer and email platform, the capture points across the site, the newsletter and data flows, analytics, conversion tracking and the agreed marketing pixels.

05

The trade environment

Because the business begins with B2B, the trade side is built as a proper destination rather than a contact form. It includes a trade landing environment, the application and enquiry journey, lead capture routed into the customer system, a wholesale information architecture and the foundations for transactional wholesale when the volume justifies it.

Olive grove
The deliverable
A premium global flagship built for Evlogia's first markets, carrying the architecture required to add languages, territories and more advanced commerce without rebuilding the platform.

Some elements above are built as foundations at launch and activated when the business needs them, which keeps the initial investment proportionate while protecting the work already paid for. The duties integration, third party logistics, transactional wholesale and localised search all sit in that category, and we would confirm which are activated in year one during discovery.

Award-Winning Associate Partner · Based in Greece

The Production

The content is produced with our award-winning associate partner in Greece, whose work includes Nobu Hotel and the Matsuhisa brand, Odera Tinos, and Incredible Crete portal. Because they are on the ground, the estate, the landscape and the people get filmed by a team that already knows them. One senior crew and six shooting days in Crete cover the brand film, the digital clip library, a documentary reportage and the full product catalogue, all under one art direction.

Subject to change depending on the preferred creative direction.

Almost nothing is good enough.
Associate partner · creative scenario

Evlogia is framed as the world's most demanding curator rather than a producer: a name that searches, selects and approves only the finest of its kind. The catalogue stays small because the standard is unforgiving, and the smallness is the point.

The reference tone is Peck in Milan, the one Stavros gave us: old and established, presented in a modern way. Nothing rustic and no folklore. It is the visual language of a maison applied to food.

01

Time as proof

Under two hours from tree to mill. Yoghurt that lasts twenty-five days instead of the industry's chemically extended sixty. The quality is measurable in hours.

02

Place as origin

Rethymno set the standard rather than serving as scenery. Crete is where the curation began, and each new country adds one champion of its own.

03

Selection as the product

One butter from France, one honey, one vinegar. Ten to fifteen SKUs in total, and that limit is the point.

Deliverable What it is
The brand film
60″–90″
The hero piece, shot on the estate at harvest with a full cinema crew. 4K, 16:9 and 9:16 masters, graded, sound designed, English and Greek subtitles. The main piece for the website, launch events and trade presentations.
Shorts & clips
12–15 pieces
6″, 15″ and 30″ cuts in vertical and horizontal, product clips per category, plus a dedicated B2B edit for buyer meetings. Clean subtitle-free versions for paid media.
The Cretan reportage
6–8 minutes
Documentary chapter one: the estate at dawn, the mill, the producer's own words, the family table. Unscripted and long, it backs up what the film claims, and the format can travel to France and Italy as the collection grows.
Product photography
10 SKUs, 80+ selects
Pack shots on seamless from every angle, one art-directed hero image per SKU, and styled scenes per category with a food stylist on set. E-commerce, press, retail and B2B ready.
Balos Beach, Crete

In this phase, we also recommend creating an Evlogia Brand Film to introduce the world of the brand across the website, social, launch, events, retail and future partnerships.

The film should take in the landscape, the people, the provenance and the sense of discovery behind Evlogia, not only the product. It stays useful as Evlogia enters new markets and builds an audience.

We would develop the creative concept, treatment, storyboard and script before directing and producing the final film.

Alongside the film we recommend shooting a library of stills, which gives you visual content for the website, editorial, social, campaigns and everything after.

One crew
Film director, DoP, art director, photographer, two camera operators, food stylist, runners and post team. Film and stills shot together on the same sets under one art direction.
12 weeks
Development and pre-production weeks 1 to 5, six shooting days in Crete weeks 6 and 7, post through week 12. That fits inside the launch window with time to spare for the rollout.
Evening in Chorio
Why it holds its value
Every asset is made to be used again at each market entry rather than spent once, so the library grows in value as the collection does.

Olive grove
One job, quoted in two parts
A platform is only as good as what is in it, so these are not really separable. We run them together, with the same team directing the website and the shoot, which is why the films, the photography and the pages read as one brand rather than three suppliers. The two figures are shown separately so it is clear what the money buys.
The branding · not quoted here
Outside the scopes above, we would recommend revisiting the identity itself: the masterbrand system, the verbal identity, and the label and packaging design across the range. The current packaging reads closer to wellness than to food, which works against the positioning the platform and the content are being built to carry.

We have deliberately kept this out of the quote. The fee depends almost entirely on how many products launch, so it is worth scoping properly once the catalogue is agreed rather than estimating it now. The platform and the production can begin without it.

Delivery

Timeline

Six months from signature to launch, with the trade channel opening before the consumer site.

Months
What happens
1–2
Platform strategy, technical discovery, market priorities, and the SKU and pricing architecture. The trade proposition is defined here, at the start, because it is what funds everything after it.
2–3
Design system and navigable prototype, alongside the production planning for the Crete shoot.
3–4
Commerce build, editorial CMS, and the six shooting days in Crete producing the film, the reportage and the product catalogue.
4–5
Trade environment live with the B2B materials in the founders' hands. Chefs, buyers and distributors can be approached while the consumer site completes.
5–6
Launch market configuration, shipping, payments and tax, technical SEO, full testing across devices and checkout, then launch and post launch monitoring.
6–12
Territories added one at a time on the architecture already built, with the editorial engine and PR arm running continuously behind them.
Why this sequence
The trade proposition is settled in month one and the B2B materials are in the founders' hands by month five, so the channel that funds the rollout is open before the consumer launch rather than after it. Every territory added from month six sits on architecture that already exists.
